Privacy policy

This policy matches the scripts that actually ship. If that set changes, this page changes in the same update. Contact is [email protected].
What loads by default
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4), property G-XRQ22FQVFX. It loads from googletagmanager.com and reports to google-analytics.com. We use it to count page views and see which guides are read.
- Microsoft Clarity, project z4i7kq1syi. It loads from www.clarity.ms and scripts.clarity.ms and sends collection requests to letter-prefixed hosts under clarity.ms (for example j.clarity.ms). It records heatmaps and session replays. Form inputs and other sensitive text are masked by Clarity's default masking.
- Adsterra, publisher 3403020, website 6156106. It serves NativeBanner_1 (unit 31959128) inside the page and SocialBar_1 (unit 31959129) as a fixed bar at the bottom. The loader host is bicea.org. Local first-visit measurements on 2026-10-28 also observed static.nresystems.com, cdn.storageimagedisplay.com, cdn.show-sb.com, cdn.show-creative1.com, and cdn.cloudpiko.com as downstream ad resources. These are ad-serving dependencies, not additional networks we configured. Creatives and their delivery hosts may rotate.
- YouTube. A video is embedded from youtube-nocookie.com only after you press one of the video buttons; the poster image is served from fakeanegg.com. Once you press play, Google receives the request for that embed.
- Pages, CSS, fonts, and images are served from fakeanegg.com. Fonts are bundled files, not a Google Fonts request.
- There is no Google AdSense tag, no Popunder, no Banner unit, no Smartlink, and no other ad network on this site.
Default on, and how Reject works
On a first visit, with no saved choice, the site treats you as granted and loads GA4, Clarity, and Adsterra before you click anything. The banner is there to tell you that and to let you withdraw. Accept keeps the granted state. Reject writes denied and immediately reloads the document, ending scripts, timers, and vendor frames that already started. The next document loads none of the three vendors, and this choice is remembered for 180 days. Requests completed before Reject cannot be recalled. The footer's Cookie settings button reopens the banner so you can change the choice earlier. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control (navigator.globalPrivacyControl), the site records denied without waiting for a click. A Do Not Track header is not a reliable signal in current browsers, so GPC is the control we honour.
Cookies and localStorage
| Key | Where | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| fae-consent | localStorage | Granted or denied choice and its timestamp | 180 days, then treated as missing |
| fae-social-closed | localStorage | Remembers that you closed the Adsterra Social Bar | Until you clear site data |
| _ga | cookie | GA4 client id | 2 years |
| _ga_XRQ22FQVFX | cookie | GA4 session state for this property | 2 years |
| _clck | cookie | Clarity user id | 1 year |
| _clsk | cookie | Clarity session id | 1 day |
| CLID, MUID, ANONCHK, SM | cookie | Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft identity/session cookies | 1 day to 1 year |
| Ad delivery cookies (names vary) | Vendor domains listed above | Delivery, frequency caps, or bot checks, depending on the response | Unknown for rotating creatives; controlled by the vendor |
We do not set a first-party cookie for accounts, because there are no accounts. GA4 and Clarity can set first-party cookies on this site; their vendors can also use third-party cookies through their own hosts. The vendor-cookie rows describe possible keys, not a claim that every browser received them. LocalStorage belongs to the page origin. Third-party cookie blocking can prevent vendor storage. Your mail client, and the host's mail logs if you write to us, are outside this page's browser storage.
Legal basis and your rights
This implementation starts GA4, Clarity, and Adsterra automatically unless a saved rejection or Global Privacy Control is present. A technical default-on state is not a recorded affirmative click on Accept. Reject and Cookie settings provide withdrawal controls. Google Consent Mode first sets the three advertising signals to denied and analytics_storage to granted, enables ads_data_redaction, then updates signals for the default-on state before configuration; saved Reject updates all signals to denied and prevents vendor loaders. We also have a legitimate interest in keeping the site available and secure and in answering the email you send us. You can ask for a copy or deletion of mail you sent to [email protected], and you can clear fae-consent and fae-social-closed in your browser. You may lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. We keep correction mail only as long as the thread needs, then delete it. This page's date is the change log.
Personalized advertising
Adsterra may personalize the ads it serves. You can limit personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings, YourAdChoices, and NAI. Adsterra's own privacy policy is at adsterra.com/privacy-policy. These links are opt-out tools; they are not tags embedded here.

Questions
Do you sell personal data?
No. The site has no accounts and no first-party profile database. It does load Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and Adsterra by default; Reject turns those off for 180 days.
Do I have to press Accept before ads and analytics load?
No. On a first visit the site treats you as granted and loads all three immediately, then shows a banner that explains this and offers Reject. Reject withdraws them and is remembered for 180 days. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner.
